LYNDA'S STORY
I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in August 2014. Immediately, I had friends and family rally around me to show their love and support. I was so amazed and grateful when my friend and colleague brought me a beautiful bag filled with wonderful items that were so helpful. It's hard to put into words the feelings that I had when I learned that the organizer of this lovely gesture was a woman who herself was so ill with cancer. I couldn't imagine how she had the strength to organize and coordinate putting together such a bag! She was thinking of others when many would only be able to think of themselves and I was inspired by her ability to give at such an incredibly difficult time in her own life. I hope her accomplishments motivate people to help keep her initiative alive since her efforts are so meaningful to people who are diagnosed with such a devastating disease.
